A short summary of your project
We’re raising £1500 to make figure skating at the University of St Andrews more accessible and sustainable by covering essential costs such as travel to ice rinks, coaching, equipment hire, and competition fees.
Who are you?
Figure skating is a unique and demanding Olympic sport that combines athleticism, creativity, and discipline but at St Andrews, access is limited due to the absence of a local ice rink. Despite this, interest in the sport is growing, and we have recently welcomed new members who are already competing at an advanced level. Our society exists to ensure these students, and those just starting out, can participate fully without financial barriers.

Your story
This funding will help us provide consistent training, coaching, and competition opportunities for our members. It matters to us because it allows our society to grow, support skaters at higher skill levels, and remain inclusive.

Where will the money go?
If we raise at least £500:
• Travel to ice rinks and training facilities
• Shared coaching sessions
• Ice time and equipment hire
Full target:
• Additional coaching hours
• Competition entry fees
• Support for higher-level training and development
Any extra funds:
• Subsidising costs for new or lower-income members
• Expanding training opportunities and future competitions

Help us succeed!
You don’t need to donate to help! Sharing this campaign makes a huge difference. Please spread the word to anyone who might support student sport, wellbeing, or inclusive opportunities at St Andrews. And if you’re able to contribute, we’d be incredibly grateful for your support in helping this project succeed.
