Helping the newest UstA sports club fund kit and travel for our first full season

The University of St Andrews Gaelic Football Club, founded in 2025, is the newest sports club at the university. We field both men’s and ladies’ teams and aim to provide an inclusive and welcoming environment for anyone interested in Gaelic football, whether they are experienced players or have never even touched a football.

In our opening year, we has already built a strong community of players. On top of regular training sessions, we have also begun competing in friendly matches against other Scottish universities as we establish ourselves within the Gaelic football scene.

Our aim is to grow Gaelic games in St Andrews while representing the university in competition across Scotland and the UK, including stepping up to BUCS fixtures. As a brand new club, we are working to build strong foundations so that Gaelic football can continue to thrive here for years to come.

We are raising funds to support our first seasons of competition. Our overall goal is £2,000 to help cover essential costs such as match kit and transport to away fixtures. We are beginning with an initial target of £1,000, which will allow us to purchase our first team kits and begin travelling to matches as we establish ourselves in university competitions.

Any support will be greatly appreciated as it will help us take the next steps as a club and represent St Andrews in one of the fastest growing university sports in the UK. You can find out more about us and what we're all about on our instagram @ustagaaclub
