Support young musicians!

The University of St Andrews Summer Baroque Course (patron: Sir Simon Rattle) attracts aspiring baroque musicians from all over the world. Many are in education or in the early stages of a musical career. Today, it is harder than ever for talented young musicians to fund vital career development opportunities such as this course. CAN YOU HELP?

Lucy Russell (Honorary Professor of Strings) and Tom Wilkinson (Lecturer and University Organist) founded the course in 2022. It has established a global reputation, thanks to the quality of its teaching faculty, which includes giants of the baroque world such as Rachel Podger and Laurence Cummings. Almost seventy people have applied for the 2026 course - the highest number yet!

Donations will fund scholarships and bursaries, enabling tomorrow's musicians to attend, irrespective of their background and financial circumstances.
