Who we are

We are the Principal Ambassador Team - a group of 8 students who are passionate about widening access to higher education (and being ambassadors!)

Background 

Each year, the Student Ambassador Scheme awards a scholarship to an incoming student, raised by the previous year's Principal Ambassador Team. Last year we climbed Ben Nevis, raising £460! This amount, along with money raised in previous years, will be combined with whatever is raised this year, providing a scholarship of up to £1000. Many of the members of the current Principal Team originate from widening access backgrounds and therefore we feel passionately about ensuring all students have equal access to university.

This year, for every £25 donated, a member of the Principal Team will perform a scary or embarrassing 'dare'. These dares and our progress will be documented on our social medias, so ensure to follow along!

Where will the money go? 

As we currently have around £800 towards a scholarship, we are aiming to raise an additional £200 to provide a total of £1000 to the recipient. Any money raised over this amount will be transferred to next year's Ambassador Scholarship fund.

The chosen recipient will be offered a place as a paid Student Ambassador once they arrive in St Andrews.
