Summer Baroque Course

The University of St Andrews Summer Baroque Course offers aspiring baroque musicians from all over the world the chance to learn from internationally renowned experts in the field. It runs from 12-16 August 2024. 

The course is led by a fantastic team of tutors, led by Lucy Russell, and including Laurence Cummings and Rachel Podger. This year we're branching out: we're welcoming singers for the first time, to be coached by James Gilchrist (hailed as the finest evangelist of his generation).

Where will the money go?

• We would like to be able to offer scholarships and bursaries to participants. The course fee is around £500 - extremely good value, but quite a lot for young musicians to find. In the past, some very promising musicians have been unable to attend, for financial reasons. Our target of £2000 will cover two full scholarships and four half scholarships.
