help Sallies chapel choir record their next album by donating!
St Salvator's Chapel Choir are raising money to record an album in 2025, and we'd be so grateful for any help in our fundraising!
The album will include some of our favourite Scottish folk songs, including arrangements by Claire, our Director of Music and our very own choral scholars.
The Choir sings at every university Graduation Ceremony and with 10 of our scholars graduating this year, it would be amazing to record an album of music to commemorate this special day.
Who are we?
Sallies Chapel Choir are the flagship choir of the University of St Andrews. The choir is a mixed-voice ensemble of around 25 students, its history extends back to the fifteenth century, when students were obliged to sing in the University Chapel. These choristers were referred to as the 'Choristi Sanctiandree'.
Today, under the direction of Claire Innes-Hopkins, the choir performs a broad repertoire spanning the six centuries of the University’s history.
Please do consider donating to this fund, all the money raised will go towards funding the recording and mixing of an album of Scottish folk songs.
Please do share this funding project further to help us achieve our goal!
