We are going to the Formula Student!

Concept Class competiton - official entrant

Thank you to everyone who have supported us on SaintsFunder. Because of your support, we were able to raise funds for our entry fee for the Formula Student Concept Class competition. We are delighted to announce that the fundraising has been successful, allowing us to take part in the prestigious competition this year.

This is an exciting stage for the team (and the University!) as it marks the first time St Andrews has competed in Formula Student in any form. A Concept Class entry means that we will be submitting design concept for the project rather than fully building a car. Given the majority of us have minimal experience with such a project, this will help us step into the Formula Student world, and ensure our plans are viable before making a bigger commitment.

Contributions from alumni, students, family and others through SaintsFunder have allowed us to take the next step, from what was merely an idea to the realistic prospect of St Andrews being represented by some of its most talented students at the pinnacle of student motorsport. On top of this, our sponsorship team has been working hard to forge connections with industry professions, who can advise and guide us with their wealth of expertise which can only be learnt from years of experience on real world applications.
